About us

Some journeys begin with a move.
Ours began with a decision to stay.

Colour Olive
Growing up in Bombay,
Sanjay was always drawn to storytelling and artistic expressions—a curiosity that quietly planted the seed of a desire to create something of his own.
In 2021, he relocated to Hubli, Karnataka to lead Media & Communications at a social enterprise, a role he held until 2023. Inspired by the region’s entrepreneurial energy and a cleaner air to breathe, he chose to stay on with his family. In 2025, this journey culminated in the founding of Colour Olive.
Our workspace is defined by people, not pin codes. While Colour Olive is rooted in Hubli, our canvas stretches across the country and beyond. We collaborate with creative professionals, artists, and organisations wherever there is a shared sense of purpose.

The colour ‘olive’ symbolizes life, renewal, growth and harmony. Like the olive tree, we plant with care—ideas rooted in clarity, nurtured with intention. We weave strategy with storytelling, creating work that feels true, lasting, and alive. We don’t see ourselves as vendors, but as brand partners—growing something meaningful, together.

Sanjay began his journey in Bombay,
studying Commerce & Economics before training in Film Editing. A ‘Film Appreciation’ course from the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) and National Film Archive of India (NFAI) proved transformative—leading him from the corporate sector to the world of cinema, media production, and storytelling—blending strategic thinking with narrative craft. Shaving blades were gone, the beard found its place.
Over 2 decades of experience across marketing & sales, publishing, film research, media production and brand communications, he has worked with brands like Spykar Jeans, Hutch (now Vodafone Idea), Wipro, Future Group and TATA Group, among others.
In 2012, he revived Deep Focus, a serious journal on Indian cinema, and was its publisher until 2015. Sanjay has been a Project Consultant on the History of Indian Cinema & Archives for Google Arts & Culture, Museum of Art & Photography, and Films Division – Ministry of I&B, Govt. Of India.
For 6 years until 2021, Sanjay served as Creative Producer at Story People, instrumental in crafting powerful social impact films for CSRs and NGOs including TATA Steel Foundation, Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI), Tech Mahindra Foundation, and Magic Bus India Foundation.
He has served in senior leadership roles in Brand Communications at Deshpande Foundation, Piramal Foundation, and the Indian Music Experience Museum.

The NDA doesn’t apply to her—some confidences are bound not by contract, but by love and bedtime conversations. Samaira is a sounding board, creative critic, and cheerleader rolled into one.
